Nurburgring gears up for epic Eifelrennen 2012

The best-ever ADAC-Eifelrennen for the Jan Wellem Cup is promised this year and the festival is expected to draw thousands of enthusiasts to the legendary Nürburgring.

The unique event featuring a series of races for cars, motorbikes and sidecars takes place on the Nordschleife and GP circuits from 8-10 June.

On-track highlights include a three-hour enduro for touring and sports cars, CanAm Challenge Cup, Kampf der Zwerge (literally Battle of the Dwarves!) for sub-1300cc cars ranging from Autobianchi to Mini, DTM veterans and even public 'regularity' laps.

There will also be a Night of the Legends demonstration of 50 years of Kremer Porsches, plus a so-called Elephants Race, recreating the great battles between Bentley and Mercedes-Benz.

Off-track there will be displays of Veritas cars, vintageants and more than 500 classic cars on display from clubs attending the weekend.

Entry tickets include unrestricted paddock access and a VIP weekend pass, that also includes catering, superb views from above the pitlane and a guided tour behind the scenes, costs €155. Click here for details.
