Tiff Needell suits-up for Members' Meeting

| 5 Feb 2015

Ex-Formula One racer and television presenter Tiff Needell has become the latest driver to be confirmed for the 73rd Goodwood Members' Meeting – 66 years after his father, Tony, contested the inaugural Members' Meeting.

Needell will be taking part in the Gerry Marshall Trophy, which proved to be one of the highlights of last year's fixture thanks to a heroic drive by Emanuele Pirro. Needell will once again be driving the 1981 Rover 3500 SD1 of Peter Mallet, with whom he finished ninth at the 72nd Members' Meeting.

The former Dave Price Racing and Tom Walkinshaw Racing Daily Express-liveried Rover will be going head-to-head with another SD1 – this time driven by Jochen Mass – while fellow house captain Pirro will drive in Phillip Perryman's 1977 UFO Jeans BMW 530i, which will make its Goodwood debut at the 2015 event.

Nicolas Minassian – who is also heading one of the four house teams – will be taking the wheel of a Ford Capri III 3.0S, with the leader of last year's winning house – Anthony Reid – driving a Triumph Dolomite Sprint.

A host of other professional racers will also be taking part in the Gerry Marshall Trophy, including 2012 World Touring Car champion Rob Huff, BTCC title winners Andrew Jordan, Tim Harvey and Robb Gravett, as well as Steve Soper, Darren Turner, Rob Austin, Stuart Graham and Patrick Watts.
