Bentley's double Flying Scotsman victory

| 13 Jun 2010

Paul Carter and John Bayliss pulled off a repeat win on the second Flying Scotsman rally from 12-14 March.
They won convincingly last year, but this time their Derby Bentley special was hard pushed all the way by a Sunbeam and a Talbot, with only 7 secs splitting the top three cars at the end of day one in Grantham.
A determined Jayne Wignall kept them honest in her Sunbeam 20hp, and was just 38 secs adrift at the finish.
The three-day London to Edinburgh epic is the longest rally for pre-war cars in Britain and drew 50 entries from 12 countries.
