The Cadillac Series 62 was built from 1940 to 1964 in various versions. Changes were made to the technology and body every year. For the 1956 model year, the engine was increased to six litres with 285 hp. Compared to the previous model, it was mainly the front that was changed. A total of only 8300 convertibles were built.
