FIAT TIPO 2 B-1916 (1916)

FIAT TIPO 2 B-1916
The Fiat Tipo 2 was built by Fiat between 1910 and 1920, initially also called Fiat 15-20 HP. Designed on the basis of the Type 1, it was produced in two series and in different configurations.
The first series, built from 1910 to 1911 in 908 units, is equipped with a four-cylinder engine of 2612 cm³ of displacement and produced a power of 20 hp. The ignition is by magnet, while the brakes are of the belt type with pedal control, which acted on the transmission shaft and not on the wheels.
The transmission is a cardan joint and the 4-speed gearbox + RM with side lever control.
It reaches a maximum speed of 70 km / h with an average consumption of 15 liters of petrol per 100 km.
The Type 2B was the first car adopted by the Royal Italian Army for use in the Italian-Turkish war of 1911 and is the first car officially used in a war.
The second "Type 2B" series was presented in 1912, with an increase in displacement to 2814 cm³ and with a power of 26-28 hp.
It was also possible to purchase from Fiat only the chassis to be bodied later with versions as desired by the buyer.
