Extensively restored Ford Capri 2600 GT XLR
We offer for sale this beautiful and very special Ford Capri 2600 GT XLR from 1972. At the time, the XLR version was the most complete and luxurious Capri GT with an impressive list of options. There is no more luxurious version of the Ford Capri than this model. The Ford has been extensively restored and is in very good condition. It is powered by a 2600cc V6 engine with carburettors and a rare (optional) automatic gearbox. It is also equipped with front disc brakes that provide a very pleasant driving experience.
As you can see in the photos, this is anything but a standard Ford Capri 2600 GT. Since it is an XLR version (Luxury/Rally Pack) this car has every option that was available on the Ford Capri at the time. For example, it is equipped with original factory air conditioning, which is very rare on a European car from the 1970s. Other options include extra chrome trim, reversing lamps, indicators in the grille and twin headlights. To complete the sporty look, a beautiful gold-coloured paint with a characteristic black hood was chosen. This Capri is also equipped with RS rims that look a bit tougher than the standard rims. The interior is in very good condition and is equipped with an RS sports steering wheel, dashboard with wood inlay and 6 counters, a center console with clock, radio and luxurious upholstery with armrest at the rear. The creamy white upholstery in this Ford Capri 2600 GT XLR fits perfectly with the luxurious look of this full options classic.
