Description
Originally developed using the platform of the XJ Saloon, the XJS was noted for its prominent rear. The early styling was penned by Malcolm Sayer, but after his death in 1970 was comleted by the in-house Jaguar design team headed by Doug Thorpe. Power came from the Jaguar V12 engine with a choice of a manual or automatic gearbox. In 1991 the XJS was relaunched in its final form under Ford Motor Company's new ownership with a few subtle upgrades. The car received a new 4.0 litre version of the AJ6 straight-six engine, which was given the new name of AJ16 in 1994, equipped with coil-on-plug ignition. This XJS Coupe is finished in Kingfisher Blue with a Doe Skin leather trim with carpets to match; which are totally unmarked. Features include a matching Wood Trim Steering Wheel, Electric Seats, Electric Mirrors, Cruise Control, Trip Computer, Air Conditioning and a Heated Rear Window. Complete with all owners manuals, both sets of keys, copies of previous MOT's. This vehicle has covered a little under 34000 Miles and is a real head-turner.
