Navy Blue with Black leather, 1 of just 1,030 examples produced, Equipped with Coventry Climax 1500cc FWB Stage 3 engine by Elite specialist Horst Auer, Twin Weber 40 DCOE carburettors, ZF 4–speed manual gearbox, 15 inch Dunlop wire wheels, Chassis 1570 is a Bristol bodied Series II model and was originally supplied to Colonel C.W Baker of London, In the early 1970’s the Elite was sold to Belgium based Dealer and Racer Peter Ecury who successfully campaigned the Lotus before selling to renown collector and racer Engelbert Moll of Switzerland, By the early 1980’s the Elite was purchased by Mr Hansgeorg Werner of Germany who undertook a complete detailed nut and bolt restoration, Complete with comprehensive documented provenance including correspondence from past custodians, Various Racing documentation including Federation Internationale D Sport Automobile registration, Historic Lotus Archives chassis detail confirmation, Historic Lotus Register correspondence, Confirmation of identification from Andy Graham of the Lotus Archives and the all important Lotus Classic Certificate of Vehicle Provenance, Chassis 1570 is also featured in many Automotive publications, Complete with correct registration number 7751 UR, Known to Club Elite since 1966, A fully restored Type 14 with period competition history, Chassis 1570 ticks all the right boxes and would appeal to the most serious of Lotus collectors.
