This SL is a European-delivered Mercedes-Benz 280SL, the variant with the much-loved six-in-line engine and a car with an automatic transmission with four gears. The car was registered in 1985 by a German Mercedes-Benz dealer and delivered to the first owner on March 27, 1986, so it was basically brand new.
