About This Car:
This late model 300SL is from the last 3 years of SL production, which many consider to be the finest examples.
Cars built from 1986 to 1989 featured upgraded brakes with 4 pot callipers and larger discs, a galvanised chasis and improved suspension. These late model cars have improved handling over earlier variants, and feature faster changing automatic transmissions.
This 300SL was registered new on April 16th 1986, and stayed with the first owner for 8 years until 1994. After purchasing the car in 1994, the second owner cared for the car for 12 years until 2012. It moved to a third owner in 2012, who kept the car four years until 2016. We are now offering this car for sale on behalf of the current owner who has taken care of it since June 2016.
The service book shows an impressive 21 service stamps, including two from The SL Shop. We have known this car for a number of years - it had it’s first service with us in 2012.
