A superb opportunity to purchase this extremely rare and desirable Morgan Plus 8 lightweight, fitted with Rover’s legendary 3.5L V8 engine.
The Sports lightweights were a special aluminium-bodied homologation version of the standard steel car. The Sports Lightweights were also slightly wider than the standard car.
This is a particularly special car in original Right Hand Drive, as it was the last Plus 8 Lightweight to be built (Number 19 of 19 built), and was exported to Guernsey when New and at various times has been owned by a director of Barclays, with the car appeared in their advertising material as well as the original owner being John Mclaren a relation of Bruce Mclaren (F1 Racing Driver and F1 Racing Car Manufacturer), which we have an email from Morgan to confirm and also appears on the Heritage Certificate.
