Porsche 930 3.0 Turbo Matching numbers, only two owners from new, long term ownership, full service history, revised gearbox and (1977)

This is truly of exceptional beauty. What you see here is a 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo 3.0 in the irresistibly beautiful color: “Platinum metallic” with a black leather interior. The car was delivered new by the Porsche dealer in Ratingen in January 1977. The car was ordered with a limited slip differential, Blaupunkt Bamberg radio, air conditioning, and front fog lamps. Porsche built only 2,819 units of the 260 hp 930 3.0 Turbo. The car quickly gained a reputation for being quite a handful due to its short wheelbase, heavy rear-axle engine and explosive power build-up. In the United States, the car was even nicknamed “the widowmaker” because many a wealthy banker with more money than talent overestimated his own abilities and was unable to brake the car in time before hitting a solid object. However, that term may be a bit exaggerated, of course it is an old-fashioned turbo engine whose power build-up is not nearly as linear as is the case with a modern car, but when you get to know the car calmly, respect the technology and use the accelerator with policy, the 930 Turbo so much more than an explosive straight gun. The 930 was the first 911 variant with Turbo and since then the Turbo has always remained the flagship of the 911 range. Today it is the most luxurious and fastest 911, with the options list of this example in mind, we can not say that Porsche has been building on this basis since the 930.
The car has been in the Netherlands since 1980 and has had only one owner since 1994. Not just any owner, but the best owner a car like this could wish for. The Porsche has had everything it needs in the past 27 years and the car is therefore in absolute top condition. The entire maintenance history is present with the car, as well as the "Geburtsurkunde" that shows that the car still wears its original color and this is a matching numbers copy. The car is in absolute top condition. The bodywork looks beautiful. The sheet metal is nice and thin and the fits are perfect. The paint has been repainted once for cosmetic reasons, and the "Turbo" decals have also been reapplied. The rubber parts on the bumpers and the rear spoiler are in good condition and look beautiful. The car is on the original Fuchs rims surrounded by good Bridgestone tires in the correct sizes.
The interior is also in top condition. The instruments and controls, as you would expect from Porsche, are all built to last and function as they should. The car is equipped with the aforementioned air conditioning and with half leather upholstery. In addition, the original Blaupunkt Bamberg radio is still present. Also things like the carpets and the headliner are in very good condition and completely original. When you open the door, you can immediately see that the car has always been handled with great care. It is unimaginable that a car can remain in such good condition if someone has not handled it with great care.
The transmission was completely overhauled by the official Porsche dealer in 2016 at a mileage of 140,000 kilometers. In addition, the turbo was replaced in 2016 by a fully revised one. Due to the low mileage of 144,000 kilometers, the engine never needed a complete overhaul. If we look at the invoices with the car, we see that the car has been perfectly maintained during the 27 years and that no savings have ever been made on parts or work carried out by specialists. The car has of course always been warmed up nicely and driven with love. The performance of the 3.0 Turbo engine is very impressive even today.
In short, Porsche 930 Turbo in an irresistibly beautiful color scheme with a matching numbers engine, only two owners and an impeccable state of maintenance.
