The Porsche 928 forms a spectacular chapter in Porsche history. The model was marketed from 1977 up to 1995. At its inception it was tipped to be the dead cert successor to the 911. Things did not quite turn out as planned but that does not take away from the large crowd loyal to the 928 who like to philosophise how things could have been. This is a 1993 Porsche 928 GTS. That this is a proper Porsche is beyond doubt. The 928 GTS has a 5.4 litre V8 engine delivering 350 Ps feeding a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The car is perfectly balanced with delightful predictable handling. The Porsche takes 5.9 seconds to go from zero to 100 km/hr and tops out at 275 km/hr. The torque is just amazing. There is a massive 500 Nm at 4.250 rpm. The whole car is geared to be driven at speed. The suspension is firmly dampened without being
uncomfortable, the brakes are more than up to their job and the engine appears to possess an infinite amount of power. Even at speeds over 200 km/hr the forward acceleration remains impressive. The car also enjoyed maniacal maintenance which is evident from the first metres on.
The Porsche is supplied with its original car wallet containing every book including a fully stamped service booklet. There is also a large file containing general model information and an impressive amount of invoices from dealerships and specialists who each have contributed to maintaining this wonderful Porsche 928 GTS.
