We are happy to present this wonderfully restored 1954 Volkswagen Beetle. In 1954 Volkswagen fitted a larger engine to the Beetle. The engine capacity grew from 1,131 cc to 1,192 cc and thanks to the larger bore the output went from 30 to 36 Ps. This particular car has been sympathetically restored to in keeping with its origins. The black paintwork looks great. The fine bodywork has nice and thin, correctly aligned panelwork. It naturally has been given the correct period rims and the right size tyres. All the brightwork is in A-1 condition. The oval rear window as well as more horizontally positioned headlights characterise this car, hence its name “Oval” Beetle. This car also benefits from a number of upgrades Volkswagen had introduced over the previous years. The transmission has synchromesh rings on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears and the drum brakes all are hydraulically enhanced. The engine and gearbox have been fully rebuilt and are in perfect condition. The smooth running 4-cylinder boxer engine emits that typical Beetle sound. The gearbox action is precise and supple. To finish this story we have to visit the car’s fantastic interior. During the restoration the interior trim was completely replaced, again this was done very sympathetically in keeping with car’s origins and to a high standard. This Beetle looks like it has just rolled of the production line. A fantastically restored wonderful Volkswagen Käfer!     Price in Euro 37.500,-
