The classic car market is experiencing a shake-up at the moment.
Blue-chip vehicles from the 1960s are facing stiff competition from the new kids on the block: models from the 1990s and the 2000s.
These machines appeal to a new generation of enthusiasts, one which has now grown up and found the means to buy the cars they once dreamed of.
Here, we’ve brought together 10 cars from 10 different classic car auctions taking place around the world in October 2026.
From a 2004 MG TF that’s expected to sell for £1000-1500 to a 1991 Honda NSX that was once owned by Ayrton Senna, you’ll find something for all tastes and budgets.
The cars are presented in chronological order, according to the auction dates.

1. 2004 MG TF (est: £1000-1500/$1350-2000/€1150-1750)
When: 7 October 2026
Where: Woking, Surrey, UK
Ewbank’s is hosting its Autumn Cars, Motorbikes & Automobilia sale at its Surrey headquarters, just outside London, this October.
The catalogue lists a 1994 Austin Maestro van, a 1992 Bentley Mulsanne and plenty in between – but this MG TF captured our interest.
The British marque’s mid-engined reply to the Mazda MX-5 is fantastic value for money these days.
This one was driven to the auction house and the seller’s family reports that the head gasket – a well-documented weak point on the 1588cc K-series motor – has been replaced, although there are no receipts for the work.
The 44,380-mile car has seven stamps in its service book and passed an MoT test in July 2026.
2. 1990 Monte Carlo Automotive Centenaire (est: £772,000-1.03m/$1.03-1.38m/€900,000-1.2m)
When: 9 October 2026
Where: Zoute, Knokke-Heist, Belgium
Have you ever seen one of these before? Don’t worry if you haven’t; just five MCA Centenaires were built and this was the first one.
It will cross the block during the Broad Arrow Auctions event that’s part of Zoute Grand Prix Car Week in Belgium.
Powered by the Lamborghini Countach 5000 quattrovalvole’s V12, the Centenaire was constructed in Monte Carlo and named to honour the Automobile Club de Monaco’s 100th anniversary.
This example spent around a decade in Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata Bolognese works before the supercar maker gifted it to MCA founder Fulvio Ballabio in the early 2000s.
It’s covered just 1560km (969 miles).
3. 1994 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo II (est: £86-120,000/$115-161,000/€100-140,000)
When: 11 October 2026
Where: Zoute, Knokke-Heist, Belgium
Two days after the Broad Arrow event another spectacular set of classic cars will go under the hammer in the Bonhams sale, Zoute Grand Prix Car Week’s second major auction.
It is perhaps not hard to see why this bright-yellow Lancia grabbed our attention; just 220 of these strikingly coloured Giallo Ginestra editions were built.
This example, one of the last Delta HF Integrales to be produced, was delivered to its first owner in Italy in 1994.
The car has been in France since the mid-2000s.
4. 1991 Ford Escort XR3i (est: £8-10,000/$10,500-13,500/€9500-11,500)
When: 14 October 2026
Where: Online (UK)
The front-wheel-drive Mk3 and Mk4 Ford Escorts might have a different sort of appeal than that offered by their rear-drive predecessors, but the XR3 and XR3i are desirable hot hatchbacks that pack their own charms.
Today, finding an original, rot-free car is a challenge, though.
But this 1991 example, which we spotted in Hobbs Parker’s online catalogue, looks like it’s been well cared for.
The sale includes MoT-test certificates back to 2000 and the current owner has completed a mechanical overhaul: suspension components have been refreshed, rusty floors and sills replaced, and the engine has been rebuilt.
5. 2005 Jaguar XK (est: n/a)
When: 14 October 2026
Where: Pavilion Gardens, Derbyshire, UK
The second-generation Jaguar XK was unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt motor show.
The car wasn’t available to buy until 2006, but this early example is a pre-production XK that was tested by motoring journalists, including Quentin Willson.
It has Ebony Black paintwork and Ivory-leather trim.
This 4.2-litre, V8-powered XK will cross the block at the H&H Classics sale on 14 October. The auction house is not publishing a pre-sale estimate and it will be offered without a reserve.
It comes with a big history file, including two certificates: the car’s current MoT (which is valid until November 2026) and one from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.
6. 1994 Caterham Super Seven (est: £30-35,000/$40-46,500/€36-41,000)
When: 17 October 2026
Where: Runcorn, Cheshire, UK
The Lotus Seven might not have the silver-screen kudos of Aston Martin’s DB5, but it did have a memorable role in the title sequence for The Prisoner, a cult-classic television series from the 1960s.
In the 1990s, Caterham created 47 ‘Prisoner’ editions, inspired by the green-and-yellow car that starred in the show.
And this one is extra special: it was bought new by The Prisoner creator Patrick McGoohan – who also played the protagonist, known only as ‘Number Six’ – as a gift for producer David Tomblin.
It will be offered in the Manor Park Classics sale in Cheshire.
7. 1997 Toyota Supra (est: n/a)
When: 21-24 October 2026
Where: Dallas, Texas, USA
Mecum Auctions doesn’t publish pre-sale estimates, but this 8400-mile Toyota Supra will surely attract a lot of interest at its Dallas event this October.
The unmodified car is a 15th Anniversary Edition, which marked the end of MkIV Supra sales in the USA.
The limited-run model was given a few cosmetic upgrades, including ‘15th Anniversary’ badging, a commemorative plaque behind the gearlever and 17in polished wheels.
Although it was available for both naturally aspirated and twin-turbocharged cars, this example is one of the latter; it has the blown, 3-litre straight-six and a six-speed gearbox.
8. 1991 Mazda MX-5 BBR Turbo (est: £5500-6500/$7250-8500/€6500-7500)
When: 29 October 2026
Where: Holton Heath, Dorset, UK
If you’re in the market for a ‘classic’ Mazda MX-5, the first question you need to ask yourself is: ‘Do I want pop-up headlights?’
If the answer is ‘Yes’, then you’ll be looking for a first-generation car.
Then it’s a question of whether you want a 1.6- or 1.8-litre version of the twin-cam motor. Usually it’s a choice between the former’s zingy performance and the latter’s torque.
But this car, for sale at South West Vehicle Auctions, is a bit different.
It was modified by Mazda tuner BBR, who bolted a turbocharger to the 1597cc engine to boost power to around 150bhp.
The sale includes a history file that goes back to 1997 and receipts totalling £12,600.
9. 2003 Ferrari Enzo (est: £4.87-6.37m/$6.5-8.5m/€5.68-7.43m)
When: 31 October 2026
Where: Wynn Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
The V12-engined Enzo was the Ferrari that was plastered on children’s bedroom walls in the 2000s.
Following in the steps of the marque’s previous halo models – the 288GTO, F40 and F50 – the Enzo used the latest technology to deliver ballistic performance.
There were carbon-ceramic brake discs, a Formula One-inspired launch control system, a composite monocoque and an electro-hydraulic F1 gearbox.
All this and more was wrapped in a striking design by Ken Okuyama, who has signed this US-spec example.
In 2003, routine maintenance found a valvetrain problem in this car, so a new V12 was installed under warranty.
Although it’s spent some time in European collections, this 17,159-mile Rosso Corsa Ferrari has resided in the US for most of its life. Now it’s set to cross the block in Broad Arrow’s Las Vegas sale.
10. 1991 Honda NSX (est: £500-800,000/$700,000-1.1m/€600-950,000)
When: 31 October 2026
Where: The Peninsula London, UK
Driving for McLaren-Honda in Formula One in the early 1990s provided some fantastic workplace benefits for Ayrton Senna.
On top of piloting the championship-winning MP4/5 and MP4/6 F1 cars, the Brazilian racer got one of the coolest company cars: the Honda NSX.
This one was kept by Senna at his house in Portugal, where he was famously photographed washing it.
He even used this NSX, chassis T000233, to commute to the 1991 Portuguese Grand Prix at Estoril, a race in which he finished second.
The car featured in a film about Senna, 1992’s Racing is in my Blood, released after his third and final F1 World Championship drivers’ title.
