There’s always been a special mystique about Bentley, and with good reason: the upmarket British marque was one of the first superstars of the early years of motoring thanks to its four successive Le Mans triumphs through to 1930 and the glamour and derring-do of the so-called Bentley Boys. 

That it spent much of the following seven decades as little more than an exercise in Rolls-Royce badge-engineering was a shame, but it’s enjoyed a new lease of life since being bought by the Volkswagen Group in 2003, and having celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019 is showing little sign of slowing down.
