The entire, almost 40-year archive of Classic & Sports Car is soon to be available online for the first time.

It will be launched in late summer 2021 as a subscription service, and readers will be able to choose between daily, monthly and annual passes.

This rich, fully searchable, digital archive of this complete set of C&SC will start with issue one (below left), published in April 1982, providing an invaluable resource for experts, owners and enthusiasts.

The scanning process means the reproductions will be of the highest quality, so you can enjoy every last detail from our extensive back catalogue – 87,000 pages of C&SC have been scanned.

This follows the announcement that C&SC’s sister title Autocar is also publishing its archive online with a go-live date in the next two months, 960,000 pages having already been scanned to make this a reality. Indeed, savings will be offered to those wishing to access both magazines’ archives.

The work has been undertaken by Pete Boswell and his Archive Digital firm, in Stratford-upon-Avon.

To find out more, register your interest by emailing archives@archivedigital.co.uk.

And this is just the start. The C&SC team is full of ideas to make the most of this wonderful new resource and to share it with you, our readers, in the best possible way – stay tuned.
