I couldn´t agree more James,

...even if the Lisbon mayor (very "modern" leftys doing the daily communting on new BMW's and AUDI's buyed with tax payer money ) is doing his best to ban them with a low emission zone that nobody respects and the police didn´t show any interest to control.

That would be the same story of hypocritical 'Pollies' everywhere - we must be more vigilant and start voting accordingly!

The upcoming story of the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 prompted me to post hese photos here.  An old friend, the late Paul Eley who ran Bury Autos in Bury Street Edmonton back in the seventies had a genuine '69 Z/28.  It was originally blue with white stripes and registered UUD994H but it needed tidying, so after he damaged the front on the back of Larry's Firebird while coming down from a wheelie on the North Circular one morning (that was a story in itself) he rebuilt the motor and resprayed it silver and black, and it was then re-registered 573D but yes, it is the same car.

With a bit of lightening and balancing of the motor including a too-light flywheel it went like stink, but was a bugger to keep idling.  At one time I think he was replacing a clutch a month, one even came through the bellhousing, but then again, he did drive it hard!

Wonder where that car is now?  There can't have been many genuine Zs in the UK, although I am sure many base model Camaros have since succumbed to the add-on stripe brigade much like the rash of Shelby-Wannabe Mustangs we see everywhere now.
