BUGATTI TYPE 40/40A

4-seater, sports roadster, numerous specials.

Unblown sports tourer with half a T44 engine: twelve valves, five plain-bearing mains, full-pressure lubrication (except on very early cars), and wire wheels. Standard body for 40s is the pointed-tail 3/4-seater as fitted to Type 43, but 40A (about 50 made) has half a T49 engine and Chryslerish rumble-seat roadster coachwork. This latter not listed in Britain.
