CITROEN AMI SUPER

4-door 4-seater fastback saloon/estate.

Citroën's idea of a Mini-Cooper style hot-rod, combining Ami 8's chassis and structure with flat-four engine from latest GS. Top speed of 88mph was much better than ordinary 8's 72mph, but still not in the sports saloon class. A short-run model, dropped after four years - yet much more suitable than the ordinary Ami for crowded British roads.
