Larger-engined Capris also rebodied like 1300/1600s, with hatchback shape and many options. Major change was use of Pinto 2-litre n place of V4 of original type. 3-litre still the best bargain, plushly trimmed as 'Ghia' versions from first year. Firmer-handling 'S' as limited edition in '75, then mainstream for '76 model year. <any 3-litres had power steering and automatic transmission, all had front discs, and manual cars had fine four speed 'boxes. 3-litre now good for 118-120mph top speed - a budget performance car.
