Named to commemorate London to Mexico Rally winning Escort. It looks like an RS1600, apart from its colour-contrast stripes, and the reinforced structure, suspension and brakes are pure RS. The engine isn't, being a straightforward Kent-type pushrod unit disposing of 86bhp. Still, it'll do the ton, plus 28mpg. A nice, uncomplicated fun-car.
