Improved Genie with 144bhp carb-fed Ford V6 engine and stiffened chassis; dual overdrive standard, and automatic optional. Estates 1971-72 only: approx 105 made. Mk III (1972 show onwards) has Cortina Mk III front suspension, adjustable dampers all round and Cortina rear axle instead of MGC unit; recognize by full-width grille and flared arches.
