2.8-litre six-cylinder derivatives of first Daimler-Benz S-Class (W108 variety), altogether bigger and heavier than cars described above, on 108ins wheelbase, with 140bhp or 160bhp and up to 118mph. Seven-bearing single cam engines were smooth and refined, but handling was rather oversteery with old-type swing axle rear ends. At least no aggressive fins, but very similar style to 'New Generation' types.
