2-door/4-door 6-seater saloon/coupé/hardtop coupé/convertible.

Massive (127ins wheelbase), floppy-handling, vulgarly-detailed and equipped full-size car; the 'grey porridge' of Detroit. Apart from nose, 98 had Cadillac-like body styles, becoming crisper with every annual face-lift. Hugely powerful engines (up to 365bhp in early) seventies, progressively throttled by emission rules later. Sold in UK from 1970-72 only. Usually with automatic transmission and power everything. Not mourned when withdrawn.
