Startling GM design, the first front-drive American car for 30 years, with sleek close-coupled style hiding massive V8 engine, and Hyvo chain drive to automatic transmission. Enormously powerful, with up to 400 (gross) bhp available; larger engine size from start of '68 model year. All with left-hand drive, and last season's cars with standard front discs. UP to 130mph top speed, and handling good in spite of 4400lbs unladen weight. Cadillac Eldorado was cloned from this model. Replaced for '71 by longer-wheelbase car with crisper style.
