SIMCA 1000
4-door saloon.
Undistinguished little beast with north-south rear engine and all-independent springing. Not a good handler, and drum brakes standard wear, but quite fair performance and good economy. 52bhp engine standard in UK for '68, semi-automatics available for '66. Revised rear suspension and introduction of rack-and-pinion steering for 1969 make later models more desirable.
