STANDARD NINE (1934-36)

New for '34 were free wheel, synchromesh and integral boot, the latter amply filled by spare wheel and leaving little room for luggage. New frame, cruciform braced and with 87ins wheelbase an improvement. '36s had a new slightly sloping rad with black slast and a chromed rim, while there were now fine horizontal bonnet louvres and a short, optional, 81ins wheelbase frame.
