TRIUMPH 2.5 PI MK2

4-door 5-seater saloon/estate car.

The original 2.5 PI was Britain's first fuel-injected (by Lucas) family car with something of a rogue reputation (engine fires...). Mk2 was mechanically unchanged (with 138bhp and a 105mph top speed) but with elongated styling. Visually distinguished from 2000 by different wheels and badging but same basic accommodation and seating. Overdrive standard, and tyres wider, but roadholding quality just the same. Supplanted by 2500TC/2500S in mid-seventies.
