Rear end treatment as on the Spitfire IV, chopped off tail, ventilated disc wheels, deeper screen, and overdrive switch in the gearshift knob; in 1973 car reverts to simpler swing-spring rear, as on Mk IV Spitfire. On the credit side, these last ones have brake servo and tinted glass, and those who know say that the 'retrograde' step hasn't had too adverse a result.
