Revised styling and improved 'swing-spring' rear suspension, synchromeshon first and a higher (3.89) axle ratio, plus plastic underriders and a new dashboard, wood-finished from '73, which is last year of wire wheel option. 1500 engine on late American Mk IVs, but not in Britain until Spitfire 1500 announced in late '74.
