VOLVO 144S/144GL/144E

4-door 5-seater saloon.

The same cars as the basic 144, but with more power and better fittings. S had twin-carbs and 100bhp. GL of 1971 had 120bhp and Bosch injection, as did very similar 144E for the last year. Overdrive optional on S, standard on injection cars, not available on single carb cars, with an automatic option throughout.
