A 1933 Talbot 110 Alpine Replica (£130-160,000), and a 1964 Ford Lotus Cortina FIA racer (£70-80,000) are among the first cars to be consigned for Silverstone Auctions’ Race Retro and Classic Car Sale.

The auction takes place at the Race Retro International Historic Motorsport Show at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire from 24-26 February. It is the first time that Silverstone Auctions will hold a sale away from the race circuit from which it takes its name.

“Race Retro is one of Europe’s premier international shows for classic and racing cars and motorbikes, so we are delighted to play an integral role in the event,” said Silvertone Auctions' MD Nick Whale.

Other classics already entered into the auction include an original 1965 Austin Mini Cooper S ‘Twini’, estimated at between £20-25,000, a 1958 Jaguar XK150S Fixedhead with only 690 miles since restoration (£35-40,000) and a 1948 Allard K1.
