Fire trucks expected to set RM sale ablaze

A clutch of 15 vehicles from the Ruger Automobile Collection are set to stir up the crowds when RM Auctions returns to the Inn at St John on 28 July for its annual Michigan sale.

The selection includes two Ahrens-Fox fire trucks and all will be offered at no reserve at the sale held in conjunction with the Concours d'Elegance of America.

One is a 1925 Ahrens-Fox N-S-4 Triple Combination Pumper (main image) that is estimated to make $175-250,000 while the later 1930 Ahrens-Fox P-S-14 Hose & Equipment Truck (above) should be cheaper at $125-190,000).

Other vehicles of interest include a 1937 Packard Twelve Coupe Roadster ($275-350,000), 1936 Cadillac V-16 Town Sedan (above, $250-325,000) and a 1933 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Sport Saloon by Brewster ($200-250,000).

There's also a 1911 Stanley Model 63 Toy Tonneau ($125-175,000) and a 1932 Lincoln KB Coupe by Judkins (above, $140-200,000).
