Lamborghini Grand Tourer to sell at NEC

| 8 Oct 2012

An exquisite 1967 Lamborghini 400GT is expected to make more than £150k at Silverstone Auctions’ 17 November sale at the Footman James Classic Motor Show.

Originally delivered to Spain, the 2+2 is one of only 247 built. Recent work includes new shock absorbers, steering arm, brakes and alternator.

As with any other example of the long-nosed Lambo’, it also features independent suspension all-round, a tubular chassis and a quad-cam 4-litre V12 with 320bhp.

In the same sale, a Youngtimer 512TR Ferrari – the revised Testarossa – offers even more performance, fewer miles (17,400) and mid-engined configuration.  The left-hand-drive car is expected to generate up to £60k.

Meanwhile, a brace of Morgans offer the same thrills for a lot less outlay. The first, of ’92 vintage, is up for £22-26,000 and features a rare-for-the-car 2.5-litre straight six from a BMW 325.

The other’s a 1987 Maurice-Owen developed Morgan Challenge Class B race car, with a 380bhp Rover V8. It carries an estimate of £24-28k.
