Movie star van up for sale at Laverstoke Farm

| 15 Aug 2013

A 1979 Renault Estafette that features in the new Hunt-Lauda biopic Rush is expected to make £15-20,000 at Silverstone Auctions’ CarFest South sale on 25 August.

The van started life as a fire truck on the French/Swiss border, before it was transported to the UK in 2012 and talent spotted for the new Ron Howard release.

The van sports the correct factory paint, approved period decals and has been subject to a light recommissioning.

The sale will also include cars such as the 1970 Porsche 911E restoration project (£4-5000), a ‘Shorty’ 1992 Mini with a matching trailer, and a 1969 Jaguar E-type (£28-34,000).
