A brace of low-mileage special edition Minis is set to sell for big money at Anglia Car Auctions' forthcoming 4 April sale. The Mini 30s have been in storage for a quarter of a century and have a combined mileage of just 155 miles.

Only 3000 examples were made – 2000 in Cherry Red and 1000 in black – with both colours represented at the sale.

The black car has clocked up 18 miles during its lifetime and is estimated at £11-15,000, while the red example has covered 137 miles and is expected to sell for £10-15,000. Both cars are completely original and come with a full complement of handbooks, brochures and commemorative books by Rob Golding.

If you like the idea of a low-mileage modern Mini but don't have the funds for one of the top cars, a Mini 35 estimated at £4-5000 is also available. The ex-Japan car is one of just 200 produced and according to the vendor is completely rust-free.

"These cars are bound to attract Mini collectors from all over, especially being such low-mileage, pristine examples," said Lyn George of Anglia Car Auctions. "Our April sale is historically very popular so we're bringing in more catering, opening a second gate to improve access and even have a block of Portaloos on offer."
