Alain Prost to be at Goodwood Festival of Speed

| 3 May 2012

F1 legend Alain Prost is to be at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. The four-times driver's champion dubbed 'Le Professor' is the third most successful driver in F1 history and is currently an ambassador for Tag Heuer, which sponsored some of his early cars.

The Frenchman will attend in his ambassadorial capacity – no confirmation yet as to whether he will take to the hill – as the company (entering its second year as the Festival's official timer) stages a photographic exhibition dedicated to Prost's career and achievements, from his karting roots to Grands Prix.

The exhibition will have more than 100 images, many of them being seen in public for the first time.

A  special Celebration Class of eight cars intrinsically linked with TAG Heuer's motor sport heritage is also being organised for the Festival.

The cars will range from Ferrari 312 PB, McLaren MP4/4 and Porsche 917 to the latest, all-electric Tesla Roadster.

Tickets and further information for the 2012 Festival of Speed can be found on the Goodwood website.
