| 17 Jul 2012

Beaulieu’s inaugural Simply French event attracted more than 200 cross-Channel vehicles to the National Motor Museum on 8 July.

Visitors voted in the Peoples’ Choice awards, with a Facel Vega HK500 coming out on top. Bob Robinson has owned the V8-powered coupé for 15 years.

Runner-up spot went to a Panhard 24. Powered by a two-cylinder air-cooled engine, the car is owned by Mr Kemp from Alton.

Both prize winners then took part in a 15-car cavalcade reserved for the most popular exhibits.

Simply French is part of a growing calendar of rallies that are being held at the New Forest venue under the 'Simply' banner, to find out more visit Beaulieu’s website.
