Classic tour raises huge sum for charity

More than £46,000 was raised by the ladies of Bognor Regis Motor Club after their 15th annual spring Regis Classic Tour to the Peak District.

The sum was £4500 more than the previous annual total and will be split between Against Breast Cancer and Orchid – Fighting Male Cancer.

Plans are already underway for next year’s tour, which will be held from the 22-24 March and includes plans to visit the Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb Course, Stanhope and the Morgan Car Factory.

Only nine places remain for 2013 with cars entered including marques such as Alvis, Allard, Austin Healey, Bentley, Jaguar, MG, Triumph, Sunbeam, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and Porsche.  

The previous 15 tours have raised a combined total of £365,000.
