Classics descend on West Lancashire

| 28 Aug 2012

Around 15,000 people flocked to Ormskirk for Motorfest on 26 August. The free day out attracted 300 cars, including vintage machinery such as a 1924 Rolls-Royce 20hp and a 1929 Austin Seven Boat Tail.

They were joined by classics such as a 1962 Aston Martin DB4, a 1957 MG Magnette and a 1968 Jaguar E-type.

Machines from the world of rallying were also on show in the form of two Group B Metro 6R4s, but the highlight for many was a Williams 1978/9 FW06 Formula 1 car.

Organised by Aintree Circuit Club and West Lancs Borough Council, the action-packed event showcased the cars around the streets of the town.
