E-types gather for mass parade

An astonishing 800-plus Jaguar E-types paraded around the Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire during the Silverstone Classic festival.

Running four-abreast and including E-types of all types - including S3 Group 44 and Lindner-Nocker replicas, the attempt at a world record for a parade of E-types during the Silverstone Classic is currently awaiting verification by Guinness, but early estimates from organisers put the estimate at 830 cars.

The record is set to be the showpiece of the E-types year-long 50th anniversary celebration.

That is an incredible sight! I'd love to see an aerial shot of the parade. What a relief for all concerned that the weather was dry for that 'historic' E-Type gathering.
Fantastic and well done to all the owners!

It was an excellent event, well organised and I would to thank the organisers; Silverstone and the rest of the E-Type fanatics that made the day very special and possibly a world record breaking day.
My thanks to 45 BOO who I assume took the pictures of the cavalcade. My posterity is preserved with your first picture of the event. - thanks ALL.

Happy to say I was there. The parade was amazing and the sight of Jon Minshaw hurling his Jag around the track was awe-inspiring. Only sorry I couldn't stay for the Sunday events -- I was sorely tempted to miss my flight back to Oz .
