Make sure your classic car club receives the recognition it deserves by entering it in the annual Classic & Sports Car Club Awards.
The Awards, held in association with the Classic Motor Show’s new main sponsor Lancaster Insurance, are C&SC’s opportunity to recognise and reward all of the clubs’ hard work over the past 12 months.
So, if your club has organised any special events to celebrate marque or model birthdays this year, then you need to tell us why we should consider them for a prize.
It doesn’t matter how big or small your club is, either. Last year’s Club Magazine winner – usually the most keenly contested gong – was landed by a group with just 300 members, the Austin Champ Club’s quarterly Champ World.
We need your nominations for our most important categories (see below), while a selection of awards will be decided at Birmingham’s NEC. The ceremony takes place in the Hilton Metropole Hotel – just a short walk from the exhibition halls – at the end of the second day of the 15-17 November event.
Only one entry will be accepted per club for each award, and entries should be accompanied by a letter from a senior officer confirming them as the club’s submissions. Please send them, with photos and brief explanations, by 25 October to David Evans on email@example.com or at by post to David Evans, Club Awards 2013, C&SC, Teddington Studios, Broom Road, Teddington, Middlesex TW11 9BE.
This year’s show is to feature a special Morris centrepiece, plus you could win a car restored over the weekend by the tireless Edd China and Mike Brewer. You can also do your bit for charity with a Sporting Bears Dream Ride. For more info, call 08712 301088 or click here.
