Exciting action guaranteed at Prescott

| 23 May 2012

An ex-Ayrton Senna Lotus F1 car and the Bugatti T59/50B Mick Walsh drove in C&SC last month will star at the sixth annual French themed La Vie En Bleu, at Prescott Hill, this weekend.

Hundreds of classic and sports cars are expected do battle up the famous hillclimb and more highlights include the Bugatti EB110 and Veyron, a 1924 Hispano, Amlicar C6, Delahaye D6-70 and a 1925 Sandford.

The two-day event will celebrate British marques on Saturday, but Sunday’s display will be reserved almost exclusively for French cars. Reinforcing the Gallic theme, clubs that are confirmed to attend include the Renault Owners’ club, the Citroën Car Club, Club Peugeot, the Peugeot Sports Car Club, and Club Renault Alpine.

Meanwhile, the Renault Alpine Owners’ club will be celebrating 40 years of the Renault 5, and 50 years of the A110 and Renault 8, with a mystery celebrity driver yet to be confirmed.

Entertainment will be laid on in the form of the Breitling Wing Walkers, music from accordionist Fi Fi La Mere and the French can-can girls.
