First World Championship to be marked at Club Lotus show

The 50th anniversary of Jim Clark winning his first world title for Lotus will be one of the focal points of the 30th Club Lotus Show and Festival, which takes place at Donington Park on 20-21 April.

Hundreds of Lotus cars reflecting the history and heritage of the marque on road and track are promised inside the hall and on the club stands in and outside.

The show attracts more than 5000 enthusiasts and is expected to be bigger than ever this year.

Lotus Cars and Classic Team Lotus will also have displays and Club Lotus is trying to set up a Lotus-only trackday on 19 April.

The Club Lotus Show and Festival is open from 10am until 4.30pm on Saturday 20th and 10am until 4pm on Sunday 21st April.

Adult ticket prices are £10 or £9 for Club Lotus mambers in advance. Tickets for senior citizens and children under 16 years are £5, with children under 12 years getting entrance for free. Family tickets are available for £27 (two adults and up to four children).
