Hundreds of cars expected as Gaydon celebrates the Traveller

| 12 Aug 2013

This year’s Autumn Classic at the Heritage Motor Centre on 22 September will mark the Morris Minor Traveller’s 60th birthday with displays and road runs showcasing the model.

The Autumn Classic Fringe will showcase potential classics of the future, with apparent top tips being Chrysler’s Crossfire and the Nissan Elgrand.

Entry into the grounds is free and those arriving in a qualifying vehicle – 20-years or older – can visit the Museum on the day for £5 per person, the original entry price when the HMC opened in 1993.

Drivers and passengers can also join in the Autumn Cream Tea Run, which takes in 63 miles of the Cotswolds countryside.

The run culminates at the HMC’s Junction 12 Café and is priced at £22 per car (for a driver and passenger), which includes a Rally Plaque for the car, entry to the

Museum and cream tea for two. Additional passengers are charged at £11 per person.

Any owners wishing to be part of the Traveller centerpiece can download an application form on the Morris Minor Owners’ Club website or by calling 01332 291675.

The cost is £5 and includes a ‘Traveller at 60’ windscreen sticker and a Monte Carlo Rally-style commemorative plaque.
