Impreza wins top prize at Beaulieu

Far-eastern metal flocked to last weekend’s ‘Simply Japanese’ at the National Motor Museum.

Everything from Toyotas and Subarus to Hondas, Mitsubishis and Lexus made it to the event.  They were joined by owners’ clubs representing the Mazda MX-5, RX-8 and Nissan.

The Peoples’ Choice award went to Peter Sargent, from Andover, for his STI Subaru Impreza.

Second prize went to Sarah and Paul Radford for the Mk1 Toyota Celica GT they bought a year ago.

A provisional date for next year’s meethas been set as 4 August, find out more at Beaulieu’s website.

Looks like a good turnout and some interesting cars.

It appears a wonderful event for popular cars: will we find more photographs in the next C&SC?
