Porsche 911 to be showcased at Goodwood festival

| 22 Feb 2013

A Porsche 911 sculpture will take centre stage at this year’s Festival of Speed from 11-14 July as the Stuttgart icon celebrates turning 50.

There’s no word yet on the exact form Gerry Judah’s sculpture will take, but it’s sure to play on the 911’s ample heritage and sporting prowess.

Goodwood has also confirmed the list of prestigious Porsches that will mark the event by taking on the famous 1.16-mile hillclimb.

It already includes the 356, 908, 917 and 962, but you can expect that to grow substantially, with Porsche promising “a number of significant 911s”.

We would suggest keeping your eyes glued to the FOS website.
