After a hugely successful inaugural event last year, the 2012 San Marino Motor Classic Design in Motion is gearing up for its second annual outing in California on 10 June.
The Concours is a community event set up to increase awareness of the history of the motor car by showcasing classics. Enthusiasts can expect to see a wide variety of veterans, vintage and post-war luxury and sports cars.
In its first year it attracted 200 cars, 3000 spectators and raised $125,000 for charity.J ohn La Barbera’s 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL 'Gullwing' (above) won Best In Show.
"We’re especially excited for this year," said Aaron Weiss, co-chair of the event. "People really enjoyed last year’s event so we’re building upon that to showcase even more cars this year and to let people see first-hand prominent parts of automobile history."
