At least nine of the surviving Spike Andersion-built Datsun Samuris are expected at the Samuri Gathering 2013 during the Donington Historic Festival in May.
Also committed to attend are one of only three 240ZGs in the UK and an FIA 240Z G2 GTS21, while JD Classics has pledged to bring both the legendary ex-Win Percy 'Big Sam' and FFA 196L, one of the most historically important Samuris and the first on which tuner Anderson worked his magic.
Organiser Jonathan Kinghorn – whose 1974 260Z Super Samuri is pictured above – is also trying to secure at least one of the two UK-based ex-works 240Z rally cars.
The event is being supported by both the Classic Z Register and the Z Club of Great Britain and, along with other 240Z and 260Zs, could lead to one of the biggest meetings of historic Datsuns in the UK for many years.
